For testing the outdoor application of photogrammetry, Erik, David, Olivier and I set out to Middelheim beeldenpark. Olivier had constructed a device based on a truss, and after I mounted my camera’s on it, we scanned ‘Drang naar het Leven’. An ideal statue since it had many details and mas made of ‘scanner friendly’ stone. The scandata was then processed with Agisoft Photoscan, now Metashape. Alignment was achieved, the endeavor a success.
