Textures are an important part of every scene. They are versatile and can be applied to any model with UV coordinates. To make them, all it takes is capturing a photograph or creating it from scratch using Substance. In the case of a photograph, ideally the image is made seamless, so it can tile easily. I had a period in my career where I would take my camera everywhere and create images for texturing. Bark, grass, stone, walls, floors, in total 64 candidates. Later on, I captured fabrics using a flash rotating around a fabric, captured from above. That way, I could get a normal map alongside the texture.
Thanks for watching, see you in the next project!
